![]() ![]() Here's an interesting article about IV's physics. In V they just fell over and that's that. Sure, sometimes it looked goofy but what's the problem in that? Even when it was goofy it was fun. If you'd bump into NPCs with your car slightly, they'd try to realistically balance themselves. Pushing people down a set of stairs never looked better. They trip over stuff, balance themselves, hold on to things, they just felt real. In IV, NPCs realistically respond to everything. The physics are wierd (they were still a lot better than in other games, but they are worse than IV's). Rockstar obviously had to improve the graphics or they would get roasted by certain people because "why new game no look better than old game?!! >:(", so because of that, dozens of features that IV had were either downscaled or completely removed. ![]() No other game that released for that generation was this good. GTA IV came out pretty soon after old-gen's launch, and i'd say that it used everything the consoles had to offer. This hardware wasn't as bad in 2008 as it was in 2013. It was built around consoles that had 256MB and 512MB of RAM and it came to them at the end of their life, and as a bonus one had a wierd-ass architecture. GTA V is a good game, but it is a downgrade from IV. ![]()
